They were the rim of choice for many pro teams in the 80's. I imagine the NOS pairs command such a high price due to demand from people restoring (with large budgets) rare team bikes from that era. Personally I would use Wolber Profil 20/A rims for a fracion of the cost.
Here's why
****This freewheel is one of the very few TRUE STRAIGHT BLOCKS in existence. ****Shifting is only required once every 1500 to 4000 miles, when a cog wears out. (If you replace your chain regularly, you'll get closer to the high end of this since stretched chains wear cogs very, very quickly.)
*This particular model also has the very rare gold indicator cogs:**** when having to shift so infrequently it is*** easy to forget when nearing the end of the cogset's life;- if you should glance back whilst riding and notice you are on one of the gold cogs, it means that you are nearing the time for a rebuild and should procure a new set of cogs before the end of the riding season.
Still makes no sense to me

why this 6 cog would be better then running a single cog and replacing it as needed. plus you still need a derailleur.
I dunno, i think £205 seems a pretty good price, I really like dem cannondales though,
