Buy these if you have AX brakes.
Rare as f*ckOnly one screw.
Same seller has also a nice Dura Ace stem, but wants at least EUR 50.- for that.

You call that vintage?
Well over-prized.
Strange component mixture.
Not too difficult to get such a gruppo for that price with a frame and fork for free (okay, maybe a bit exaggerated). -

Unbelievable... what a bargain.
Yep, well chuffed!

Now THAT is nice!
Or at least in very, very good condition.
Not the original brake blocks? I think it should be Allen key type and with wheel guides)
I had those on my 1st road bike, in silver.
I had hubs in black. One of the best hub sets ever, together with Suntour Superbe.
A shame that bike industry ever moved to 6 speed... -

dunno, it does say 'dura ace' on the brake pads. i know the calipers have been used for a very long time so possibly it's the umpteenth set of pads!

I think the wheelguides are separate from the block

I think the wheelguides are separate from the block
What exactly are those hooks (Which I think I now know are called wheel guides) for?
And don't say guiding wheels. -
• #24993
Yes, these were separate.
Campagnolo was integrated with the holders. And yes, these parts guide the wheels / enable a quicker wheel change.
Without these guides, the tyre may bump onto one of the brake pads.
These guides help the wheel go quickly between the pads.Guides are separate (as on older Dura Ace) or integrated with brake pad holders or the brake pads.

Never seen black Dura Ace EX brakes before.
They do look good.

Thanks :) Makes sense now.

Correct. The black parts were pre-EX...
But I would easily accept to believe that SHimano made some black EX components.
If you know what components they make on special request...
Tandem spec, special track versions, 180mm cranks, etc... that never appear in their catalogues. -
