but arent they more relaxed and offer a better ride around london. that quinn would be far too aggressive for going to the shops to get a pint of milk.

How effective are these helmets? They look like they wouldn't do anything!
Looks like what we called a "Trott" helmet, named after German legend Wilfried Trott (and his father), but it isn't one. I think it's a cheaper version.
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilfried_Trott
I both cases, I guess it has no SNELL/ANSI/ASTM approval and it's illegal in races and track training. If you want to use it for your own rides (no supervision of Unions): do as you please.
Sometimes I ride without a helmet. Compared with that, this helmet looks more safe.I still have a similar helmet (no Trott), but there was never a good connection between the inner and outer parts, which makes it a bit uncomfy.
The looks are the same though, except fro the head in it...Nakano's helmet is a Brancale. That's a different one. Prolly better, but still no SNELL/ANSI/ASTM approval.

So which of you bids as 'van der els' on marktplaats?
I don't.
But he's bidding on every track and vintage part on Marktplaats.
Looks like a guy who is trying to make some Euro's. No a cycling enthousiast.
There are some more, even from Germany. -

Thanks DC. The search for a low profile, cool, well protected helmet continues!

Charles: Sort of. If its an old one then yes. If its one of the modern re-issues then its gash and not worth £10.
