im sure loads of people have seen this so im not giving anything away. I fancy it to build up in the new year. but he says its english threaded BB but also its 70mm. Isnt 70mm italian bb size?? confused. anybody shed any light or has he just got it wrong?

It sounds like he's got it wrong, English standard is normally 68 mm but can be 73 mm. Only Italian threading is 70 mm as far as I'm aware. As always, Sheldon Brown has all the detail you'll ever need.
