No, Ed I wasn't being totally altruistic, i've got an old bsa for her indoors that I've been promising to do up for ages, but I have this idea that if I actually bought and restored a light frame she might be won round and give up her fascination with heavy sit up and begs with baskets. I'll show her pictures of mrs scoble 2 and try to win her round. Here's hoping!

Have been watching for a nice 80s Raleigh on eBay for a while, do they always go for so much?
-
• #17006
Heh sorry, shy of £200?
I guess stuff on eBay usually sells for what it's worth, I just don't know much about bikes.
Hmm does seem the seller did well on the 2nd auction. But yeah, circa £150 for a nice pretty 501 or 531 framed Raleigh in GWO with decent groupset seems about right to me.

I've posted a few things from there before,
The NZ (and Australian) bike nerds are pretty on the ball and things don't really go that cheap on there. You do get some interesting bikes though and the occasional bargain.found this is on New Zealand's answer to ebay....

Santysiak 58cm track frame no forks BIN £140
I dunno, maybe it's late - but the geometery on that doesn't seem right.
I suppose I'm basing most of that on an incredibly short head tube for a 58cm.

You missed the BIN rik, Nankatsu "flagged it up" a few hours ago and some dufus started bidding... come on, who was it?!
