more cheap NJS
as of today at njs-keirin.blogspot some very cheap vivalo's
(be quick though)Black Vivalo 55cm with a seized nitto deep drop stem.
$248 or £151.28
http://njs-keirin.blogspot.com/2009/07/vivalo-black.html
A crashed Silver Vivalo in 54cm.
Has a massive dent in the top tube (but can be covered with some tape as a little tt protector). The headtube and downtube have been slighly bent in a crash, but looks like they will put up as a beater ;)
Good enough price methinks.
**$190 **or £117.80

Ha ha! I don't know what's funnier, a Campag corkscrew, the fact it's NOS, or the fact someone paid nearly a ton for it...
I have mine for decades. Must say that it is beautiful and works perfectly.
Cannot say if the wine tasts better...Mine is dark/brown color.
Not the more expensive gold plated one. I was lucky. Got mine for free :-)And it's always handy if I need some original Campag chain ring bolts.

@ eddie, do you not think the front wheel on the crashed vivalo looks a little too tight? Nice frame and price but the steerer looks like it may have a little damage too. I'm no expert so was wondering what you thought?

considering it's been properly crashed it's not that great a price :S

Please, someone buy this. It would win the owner untold amounts of irony points.

yes the wheel is too tight as the top tube and down tube have bent the angle of the headtube. The forks don't seem at all bent in the steerer, they seem totally fine, im pretty sure its just the bend in those two tubes.
its a common thing with vivalos to have the weak point there. But the good thing is, is that no one of the metal has actually snapped so its still only a bend and everything is in one piece, which makes it repairable.
What I can't tell you is how that affects the riding. It's ofcourse as safe as a crashed helmet, you are running a risk of not knowing what will happen in an accident.
Don't put your hopes up though, because as you can see it has been quite seriously damaged, it could be very twitchy. But if you can find someone who can bend it out (i would get a professional to do it) from the forks or something it could be worth it.

haha, took me a while to get it in the end! -

@ eddie,
you can't 'bend it out' to repair the tubes!
the crash damage on that is very serious, just because the headtube (might) be fine it doesn't mean the rest of the frame is rideable, the top and down tubes are buckled in a way which would seriously affect the structural integrity of the frame.
Yes you could ride it, but you'd be running a serious risk. -

Oh fair enough, or even if you'd paid sensible money for it, but who spends £92 on a corkscrew!?

NO NO NO. under no circumstances will this work.
Sorry Eddie but this is not true and no-one buying a keirin frame should be under the misapprehension that their frame is not weakened or damaged by being crashed.

you do know that campag started out making corkscrews, before they made bike parts, don't you?
that's why all their components are a bit shonky.

the silver vivalo is not safe to ride.
anyone who thinks that is safe to ride is not right in the head.
bending back a tube that is only .8mm is a recipe for disaster, the metal has been stretched and will not return to it's original shape which is a perfect circle, it's the uniformity of the tube that gives it it's strength.

^ I know I half thought about that Churchill for my dad - esp. as it looks like it comes with plenty of parts.
£40 would have been a good deal I recon... just don't think I have the cash to commit to another project.
