This is £122... Do you guys reckon that's a reasonable price for the bike? Norman Roberts 531 frame. I'm looking for a frame for a first SS conversion. I like the look of it, but wonder if I'd be better off waiting for a cheap Pug or Raleigh.

^ if you're comfortable it will fit etc etc, go for it.

's decent, you'll find cheaper and better if you're patient but if you have a life and don't want to waste it on ebay then go for it.

That's at least the 3rd time I've seen these cranks on the bay. I have spoken to the guy regarding other bits on his bike and he seems like a 200% penis

I despise those cranks, it doesn't make a fecking difference to how much power you generate at any part of your pedalling stroke, except maybe you'll lose a tiny amount because of the crap shape.

Vertical dropouts - A lot of hassle to deal with when going fixed (also potentially costly), especially for your first build.

Yeah, I knew about the dropouts. It was one of the things that convinced me I just need to be patient and wait for more suitable frame to come along. My knees are kinda stuffed already, some I'm not sure I'll ever ride fixed, but even if I stick to SS, it would be nice not to have mess with tensioners, magic gears, etc. Back to the ebay drawing board. Thanks again.

i have had a chance to see one of those diamant bikes in berlin and they are not as heavy as i thought, they were quite nice actually, this one is sold without the wheels
