Bollocks. No they are not. The mudflaps, in particular, are the work of a true gentleman of the road. Not only do they prevent spray on to the BB, but the rear one prevents spray onto any rider on your back wheel. The terms 'mudguards' and 'disgusting' are antithetical. Fact.

There's a pretty straightforward solution to that problem.

Gouge out eyes with a rusty nail? Don't buy that mercian? Buy it and remove the mudgaurds and 'convert' it into a full on HHSPengy?
