it's not THAT nice or that original, this clearly isn't an original track/path frame and the bits are mismatched, hetchins have recently become a lot more popular, and as i understand it they aren't that rare.. i remember seeing complete builds for under 500 regularly 5 or 6 years ago, these days frame fetch that very easily. overpriced methinks
and 7 or 8 years ago they were less than 400 and so on and so on, that means nothing more than there is a thing called inflation. if we had time machines we would all go back and buy the boys toys that can now bring tears to the eyes of grown men. the things that we in our short trousers admired through huge shop windows. we sat there with our snotty noses flicking through the magazine in the dentists waiting room and marvelled at that bright red mg C sports car, the cigarette smoking owner with his tweed cap leather driving gloves and young, happy and beautiful companion. as men get older they take and find great comfort in ticking off boxes and correcting past mistakes of things that should have been purchassed or people that should have been loved. you mark my words young man.

1951/1952 HOLDSWORTH RACING BICYCLE
I am quite tempted by this, what do you lot think?
-
• #13687
this was cheap , it might have sold for more i think if the seller had bothered to try and describe it or even take a decent non-box-brownie picture of it.

Hey guys,
I'm putting together a bike (first project) and am abit clueless.... Got myself a nice Holdsworth 531 frame and some wheels, with cogs and a flip-flop hub- off a langster, reasonable and in good nic. I'm trying to do it all cheaply - clearly going to be abit of messing up and trial and error.
Can anyone clue me up on this chainset:

Cheers!
