  • Hey this is a good Forum! keep it up!

  • To keep it up we ll introduce our self on the forum!

  • With all the fixed gear news from belgium!

  • Good afternoon,

After a significant time spent lurking and reading, I thought I would join to find fellow admirers of the Pashley Guvnor (single speed), and other accomplished slow cyclists in London.

  • Hello. Lost my profile in the big server meltdown the other week so thought I'd say hello again. Based in Brixton Hill, ride a lovely Planet x Kaffenback but had a pompino and a Hetchins before that. Building up an old Raleigh for runs to the kebab shop. Will be fun. Going to set up a coaster brake so if anyone has one knocking around then let me know.

    All the best.

  • Great site people- this is restoring my love of pushbikes. There is more to life than shiny lycra and cyclocross!

  • hey guy's been riding a fixed for 3 months now and loving it, i live in henley in arden in warwickshire but the family live in london so i'm often down enjoying the fixie crowd, great forum guys!

  • Hi everyone just been recommended this forum..looks great !!
i'm a real novice when it comes to bikes ...looking for a new bike at the moment thought this would be a good place to look ...
    i'm after a 60's / 70's racing bike

    Cheers

  • Hey guys, I bought a bike this week off of gumtree, it looked pretty good from the pictures and what not but it rides like an absolute piece of shit, this coming from someone who doesn't know very much about bikes at all.
Turns out its one of those Unipack/Create bikes and now I'm absoloutely desperate to get rid of it, think I'll be able to?

You picked the wrong guy, mate.

  • Oh and here's a picture of it, just for reference.

    Have you considered the Thames?

  • Have you considered the Thames?

The sea would probably spit it back up. I really got ripped off, it moves like one of those mountain bikes from argos or some such.

    Sigh :(

come on then spill the beans, how much did you waste on it?

  • Sorry toi hear that, Radical Boasts... keep an eye on the classifieds here.

  • only two hundred actually, which isn't so bad considering the same bike is going on ebay for like £250 or some such.

the guy i got it off of had clearly been ripped off himself and was as eager to get rid of as I am now. I'm talking to some one off of 1speed conversions dot appspot dot com who will hopefully sell or build me a bike that's actually good.

  • hi guys. joined cause i could use another site to distract myself. hopefully its cool that im in california.

  • Hi calafornian! welcome to London.

  • Why why why did i get my garage broke into, some scum has now got 4 of my bestest best bikes arse holes...........................

  • ....should be worth a bit especially being a 'gorgeous baby blue' colour!

  • Hi guys, I've been lurking around these forums for a while now, but got drawn in by hilarystone's Bristol Bike Bonanza... (my words not theirs!) so felt it was time to get down to business and say hello to all you fixie/ss riders around London town and the world!

  • Hello from the USA. I am on here trying to learn more about a bike I found in a dumpster and am hoping someone here can help me out.

  • I should post up what she is.

It is a Austria built Puch Mistral,

it also has a sticker on it that is either a Bike Shop or a Bike Lic. Here are some pics.
