  • I was joking about piss pots duh.

  • Your 'clue' about dots tells us again what is in the picture.

A clue might help us work out which music-connected building this is: i.e. tell us something not seen in the picture.

  • Ah I see your confusion:

If you were after some Dots in nw1 this would be your first port of call

  • Too easy now.

  • This fish, in a barrel, has now been shot.
Gosh. We're a hard crowd to please. Aren't we?
    :)

  • Yeah it's pretty obviously to do with music, if you look at the things in the window. So we google 'nondescript window with sheet music stuck to it', 'London music school', ...

The key is in the pavement
(board of this one, too easy)

  • [QUOTE=......... There isn't a decent coffee shop in Muswell Hill.[/QUOTE]

but W.Martyn have been roasting great coffee on Muswell Hill Broadway since 1897

  • Bruce's right about the clues - sometimes they make it more difficult. That's clearly the case here!
Try this, ^ is the architectural feature. Get that, you can find it.
I have no idea about the film

    describes what it is

Those meant 'pergola'? Jesus Christ, please stop making my brain hurt with stuff like this!

  • The George Bush one was a fail, I regret doing that one, it was done in haste, I picked the wrong images, it just didn't work properly.

But I was quite pleased with other one, it does work I think. I was presuming you'd all cheat and put the image in to Google image search anyway, which gets to Purr Goal, then the last one was left to your own interpretation. Search 'Pergola London' and the tag was the first to come up.

Anyway, as said, I'm not playing anymore (for a while) so you can all have a nice rest. Sorry to have bugged anyone

  • @fox, whatok and the other 'clue's in the picture' brigade. ^Here's a perfect example of why a clue makes this game less dull for everybody.

I think it just proves that it depends on the photo..

  • Those meant 'pergola'? Jesus Christ, please stop making my brain hurt with stuff like this!
It's especially disappointing as I got 'Blade Runner' out of both of them.

  • For new page. I still have no idea. Got a good new tag I want to use.

  • If this is about at 6pm tonight I'll grab it, working til then.

  • For new page. I still have no idea. Got a good new tag I want to use.

Truesay, I take your point. What's in the photo could well be enough of a clue in some cases. And this photo was not really telling us much, as it only had music visible, nothing else. So a clue was needed.

    Ah I see your confusion:

If you were after some Dots in nw1 this would be your first port of call

    That's not a clue! That's a location.

  • but W.Martyn have been roasting great coffee on Muswell Hill Broadway since 1897

I hate that place. It's just pollution. They need some decent filters like any other industrial premises.

I'm not really a coffee fan. Perhaps walking past as a kid is the reason why.

  • Less blag, more tag!

    Old, Dots Music:

    New, bassically the same area:

  • Dots

  • Pots

  • ps this isn't visible on streetview because it had a big blank billboard in front of it back then

  • To wade in on the clue debate, 'cos I'm sure you were all waiting for my input, I am going to get off the fence, lay my cards on the table, stand up and declare that I am very strongly ambivalent about them.

There is no reason give every tag away too easily, otherwise the game is just a race to see who finishes work/pulls a sickie first. If the place is a major London landmark or tourist attraction we can expect most people to get it without a clue, if it is more obscure then a little clue, perhaps alluding to the history of the place, is nice.

I get the impression that the clues mostly police themselves as people who know the tag but can't get there wade in with cluelets as much to show they know as to help out others, I see nothing wrong in that. Sometimes the clues are as distracting as they are helpful and sometimes you will just have to concede that you will not get a tag, clue or no, but don't worry, if you just hang around there will be another one along soon.

  • ps this isn't visible on streetview because it had a big blank billboard in front of it back then

Yeah, but the shop sign makes it a breeze.

  • **bassically **the same area:

That a typo or a clue

  • Its a clue for skully :)

  • ^Personalised clues!
Take the game to the next level...
