    would you even notice the difference on a double suss mtb ? even single suss ?

    If your suspension feels vague, you need to look at your spring and damper settings.

    In general, through axles reduce yaw and roll of the wheel relative to the frame by increasing the torsional stiffness of the forks. It's wheel movement in these two planes which send the bike in uncommanded directions.
