Initial reports after 2 miles on it is that the C17 is a great saddle, very comfy and I don't even feel the need for a cutout. The grippyness is great too, I really hated my last Brooks because of how slippy it was. I usually ride 135mm saddles so anything too wide means my legs pull me off the front of it, so need to give it a proper test but may have to sell it and wait for the C15 to come out.
I concur about the grip, was worried about wearing out my bib short, but it's perfectly fine.
I loved that it's narrower on the nose than a conventional Brooks and it's actually flat for once, just need a cut-out, as I'm fairly sensitive downstair.
