@Loic - what is wrong with your current chainset. Is the chainring worn, or the cranks messed up in some way? Do you need both changed?
My Brompton, although a lot has been changed on it, including frame 2 years ago, is very old. The current chainset is very probably the original one, from 1992. The chain needs replacing, the teeth of the chainring have not much life left, it does not feel smooth as I would like it to be, although I'm sure I can still use it for a while. Also I generally like the hollowtech technology, and when justifyable on a bike (style/period, all that bollocks, I would not put them on my 1960s Witcomb...) I would tend to prefer it to square tapers, which I've never been a great fan. I "rounded" too many of them when I was riding mountain bikes... Splined fittings FTW! External BB are nice too!
The new Brompton chainset is nice, I thought they were now generally available from Brompton authorised workshops. - Try Condor.
Yes they are nice. Brompton have not made them available yet as spares, they are only fitted on their newly produced bikes. I had that confirmed again 2 days ago by the mechanic at the Brompton store. They are listed on SJS cycle for instance, as they expect to have them as some point, but marked as out of stock.
