Good for US style grid layout roads but not so good for Britain's many undesigned, organic growth junctions.
As a test of this, show how the design would function at Elephant and Castle, a conjoined three road and five road roundabout pair. You will need to ensure that you don't compromise pedestrian space, protect reasonable access to three different forms of public transport, ensure non-congestive light phasing and retain the key visibility and safety features of the demonstration model and satisfy the interests of a broad variety of stakeholder groups including non-transport entities concerned with the preservation of green space, existing heritage structures and air quality.
If you can get anywhere close to that, you might just have something worth working with.
As a follow on, what would be your general position on roundabouts populated with things like memorials, art installations and other historic and heritage structures whose presence would be an inhibiting factor in the implementation of one of these protected intersections?
