To be fair to the northies, if you live in Hackney, or Walthamstow, why would you want a two hour plus round trip added onto your day for Sunday throw ins, when Downs is way closer? Herne Hill is fairly deep south compared to Newington, it's a long spin from E10 or the like.
This. I would love to play at HH but currently sessions start silly early on a sunday, my one lie-in day and its a trek which will take up the majority of sunday. Downs is much closer so i play there on a weekend afternoon. When the nets are up and we can play at midday- afternoon then ill deffo come along.
For the record though, its awesome that HH exists and it does look like the best court in london. I am yet to play on it with my polo bike though, despite having been down twice to fix the boards
