    Messing with seat tube angle has knock on affects that can really ruin handling.

    Only if you set your saddle very forward to the point that all your body weight is on the handlebar rather than distributed between the saddle and bar.

    Modern saddle nowadays have quite a long rail enough to set it to the idea position that made setback seatpost almost redundant, the only main reason for the setback is the additional comfort.
