Yesterday was a lovely day out. Rode up to Owler Bar, down to Baslow and along to Chatsworth and back via Bakewell, lunch at Hassop Station and the climb up Padley. All rather spring like and sunny, nice easy riding.
Today I decided to ride over to Congleton to meet my wife who was doing a fell race. There was a headwind all the way and it was a bit miserable and showery. On the climb out of Buxton I was forced to deploy the 19T on the other side of the wheel and discovered that the A54 is a series of 10% climbs and dives most of the way to Congleton. I feel like I've been beaten up. These roads are not fixed wheel friendly.
