This is how I came across my current beater/fixed road frame. I spent a year racking up next to a nice old steel road frame that was clearly abandoned, after about a year they decided to clear the area for a new building and stickers went up saying that all bikes would be removed on the NN date. I turned up that morning and found all the bikes had been cut free and had been dumped in a heap so I rescued the frame and it's served me well for the last 5 years at least.
