It was pretty much the perfect mix of stability and features. Never crashed and passed the "my mum can use this" test. It was pretty much the moment that they got the mix right for pro and home user alike.
It's all too feature heavy now - makes the machines half as quick as they should be... not to mention the dumbed down OS. Mavericks feels like using a really big iPhone. Shit, basically!
