I'm not sure of exact length but roughly really fucking long! Ha ha. It's the one in this picture.

Very nice Ed. Got a link to more pics?

Is this the thread for bikes with mudguards and racks?
My new commuter build
Cable ties give extra style
Last few jobs are to remove the double, fit a VO chainguard and leather bar wraps

Excellent cruiser there; I find the Ergon grips very comfy on that style of bar, the corkish ones look okay.

Might not be pretty but I have bmx mushroom grips on mine.

It has to be tape or wrap because of the cable routing from the shifter.
I'm planning something like this: http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=240299 . I've got loads of scrap leather from an old jacket that's a good match for the saddle.

Was wondering if anyone can recommend a front rack for my Caadx, it's got the brake eyelets and also canti mounts to attach it to, but not eyelets by the axel.
-
• #5563
There are a few that sit on the front hub axle I think. Pretty sure there's a super pricey cetma one that mounts on the hub.

How big does the rack need to be?
I've just realised swapping to a disc fork means I can't use a Pass Hunter/M18 rack that mounts on the canti bosses any more as they won't be there. Need an alternative that fits to mid-blade eyelets...

Nitto M18 will mount to a fork with lowrider/mid-fork mounts and brake hole. You're thinking about the M12? -
• #5566
No idea, haven't looked properly/checked model numbers but had only seen the canti model. Have some rep!
Upon Googling you are correct, I was thinking of the M12

Also before you edited out mention of a Vaya - my LBS was building up a stunning custom job, resprayed a darker/burnt orange with some metal flake, excellent looking touring set up. Serious bike envy... but not of the new owners credit card bill I guess...

I can tell you that I'm still happy seeing my credit card bill depleted for a custom build.

DIY phone charger I've made to run off my dynamo... cost about £10 for the bits (assuming you have a soldering iron and a random USB cable to butcher).
Haven't tested it on a long ride yet, but just gave it a quick try going along my street, and my phone registered that it was being charged.
Now need to make a waterproof case.

From this? Can you report back on it's functionality, i'm thinking of this over the forumslader.

Essentially the same circuit, but arrived at the same shape purely serendipitously. That is a brilliant idea to stick it into the handlebar tube.
I was planning on sticking mine inside a short piece of 20mm conduit, the ends plugged with silicon so its water proof and then cable tying that onto my rear rack. I'm going to connect it to the dynamo power using the cable connectors on my rear light.
I might rethink that having seen your link though...

That just aint working, a long way from any kind of colour balance there.
Oooh!
What length, and have you got a photo? I'll be measuring up the frame tonight so I'll try to work out how long a post it needs.
