Over the last few months the compression bung on my Dolan has started to slip a couple of mm in the steerer (alu). Every time I reset it it slips by a couple of mm again. On close inspection I can see that the teeth of the bung are slightly worn and the inside of the steerer has polished.
Shall I replace the bung or is the inside of the steerer too smooth now to take another one? Would it be better to install a star nut instead?
I've got a compression bung problem.
