  • I am not sure which is worse; ascribing genders to your bicycles or using the word "dude".

    oh dude....

    Tbh, mine's a chap.

  • Old BLB frame = The Whore's Prong.

Current Bareknuckle = The Black Blade.

    Gender is for pussies.

  • My next bike will be this:

And like my current one, it will be self-explanatory which gender it would be if it had a gender.

  • Though I might put pedals on mine.

not if the bike is a man

  • can this become a poll ?

  • Wait, we're giving bikes nationalities now?

  • ...nevermind.

  • Mostly Taiwanese, fathered by someone of another nationality, these days? Mine's definitely French, both parents are French. And it's painted white. Well, for the most part.

  • Well, seeing as this thread has been resurrected - all my bikes are she, because I figure I would follow the same convention as sailing ships, but now having thought about it, it could be a bit disrespectful.

I just don't want to refer to them as 'it' though, that seems worse.

  • So what about when the bike has a mans name on it?

  • I suppose I would have to reconsider, but seeing as Ribble and Mercian are both gender neutral, I never really had to think about it.
