When I flew from Copenhagen to Manchester, there were a number of (native) Scousers on the flight. There were also a load of Scandinavians off to see Dirty Leeds.
Go figure...

happy to see him commit his future to the club.
i like to think wayne isn't as stupid as he looks and wants to be part of the project. obs there is a shit load of cash in it for him too.

So he's given up winning trophies to sort out his retirement fund?
-
• #97667
I think Rooney probably doesn't want to move, he has a young family and is settled in the area. Any money grabbing to elsewhere is only likely to mean major upheaval.
Anyway, he is probably banking on the management situation being sorted out pretty soonish if they don't make Europe at all.

Until summer comes he'll be fine and then Stretford will be in his ear again.i like to think wayne isn't as stupid as he looks
this is going to be very difficult considering he's got the IQ and looks of a tangerine.and wants to be part of the project.
From champions to becoming an overnight so called project. It's laughable really. Moyes is the issue, you can't go from winning the league relatively easy to becoming the laughing stock of the PL without laying some blame with the current manager. Utd were fearless and feared under Ferguson, now they're there for the taking and nobody minds taking them on any more. That aura of invincibility has been erased in the space of 6 months. Job well done by Moyes.
obs there is a shit load of cash in it for him too.
The only reason why he's staying at Utd. £300k a week is being reported, Utd would pretty much have been the only club able to afford those sort of wages. -

On that note, dodgy goings-on at Tranmere at the minute.
Ian Goodison, long-serving club captain, was being investigated a while ago, now Ronnie Moore is suspended while he's being looked at as well.
I remembered an ex-player, Steve Jennings, was looked at for suspicious betting patterns after he left for Motherwell a few years ago, and looked where he was now...and he's back at Tranmere and all.

Good article about fans and the law
http://www.newstatesman.com/politics/2014/02/everyones-equal-eyes-law-unless-you-are-football-fan
A mate got arrested a while back for being too drunk to enter a football ground. He wasn't, even with the officers at the station and the nurse saying he wasn't drunk it still went to court (the cps and police hadn't reviewed the evidence) The arresting officer changed his story about 3 times under questioning and after seeing cctv, his two supporting officers said he wasn't drunk and had to clarify why they were arresting him. It was swiftly chucked out... as such wasting everyone's time including mine as I was there as witness.
