One easy resolution to said claim would be to transfer said shit to said buyer. No extra costs etc, just making clear you won't settle for people having half a grand of your cash and being "shambolic" on it.
That said we don't know what negotiations have occured. You're right, if a reasonable date for delivery can be agreed upon now, e.g. in the next week or less, then fair enough.
