A lower failure number but I doubt there's really a lower failure rate. I've ridden time, spud, spudsl and keo. I found that for general and city riding times were nicer but for track the difference in feel between keys and spudsl was negligible.
FWIW I've damaged 2 time pedals in 2 years and no spuds in just under a year of use. Still prefer atacs though.
