  • I just prefer the V1 due to the fact they were still made in NYC.

  • That doesn't bother me, I just think the forks and lack of brake bridge look damn fine.

I can't fault the V1 build quality so it doesn't bother me where it was made or by whom.

  • the idea that USA built means better than Taiwanese built is slightly outmoded

  • The no brake bridge is great and the welds are really good on mine too.

  • the profile on the stays on v1 is tons nicer

  • I sold my v1 fork and my v2 frameset as the frame was not fun to ride. Heavy and too stiff vertically.

does not come anywhere near my orlowski in the terms of ride quality.

  • Slowly but surely I begin to question buying one.. le sigh

  • Don't question it man, I own a v2 and ride the shit out of it often. I've not managed to properly damage it with anything I've done. Just thrash it about and soon you'll be thankful you bought one.

Must organise a gangsta cruise soon.

  • Still on the lookout for a long frame... pm me if you got one that needs to go. Cheers

  • I still think they're a bit pricey for what they are...

  • I think from Chari the price was fair but what BMW uk sell them for without the headset or post is too much.

  • I bought a 4130 taiwanese frame for £70; brand new

  • I've gotten USA made 4130 frames for free, what's your point?

  • I still think they're a bit pricey for what they are...

    this

  • I swear neither of you even rides fixeh anymore?

  • nope; i might even give up SS soon ;)

although i'd find it hard to spot the diff in riding (between gangsta and that) if I convert that GT fixed with 6 bolt cog

  • Not even the difference in wheel size?

I certainly noticed the difference between the gangsta and the in bred/charge scissor/bb17 charmer.

  • I've gotten USA made 4130 frames for free, what's your point?

Yup and he's also given them away, cheers mate.

    this is rad.

    what forks are they?

  • Slowly but surely I begin to question buying one.. le sigh

no fam! I'd definitely have one if I could, really like em. Not a fan of the V2 fork, I'd probably get something plastic like the exotic mtb fork or a V1 lookalike from Ted or someone else. Really cool frames though. I rode DoktorP's and absolutely loved it, bunny hopping and whip skidding all over old street I was... (shit fixie douche bags say > > > > )

What you building yours up with?

  • this is rad.

    what forks are they?

    These: http://www.carboncycles.cc/?s=0&t=2&c=43&p=199&

  • I'd really like a custom wound up on mine. Same length and rake as the v1 fork so not to fuck much up. Pricey tho

  • I always really liked the way ed's Easton carbon fork looked.

  • Ed's BMW is the best that has existed IMO

  • ^obviously you would say that
