  • 1 of 2 done, first time ever building a wheel.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDQ7ANqhIVw&feature=youtu.be

    good enough

  • 2/2

    weight: ~1780g

  • Smart looking wheels! The straight/evenly tensioned?

as straight and evenly tensioned i could make it

  • Taking them to LBS for finishing?

  • Taking them to LBS for finishing?

    probably, we'll see

  • You got a tension meter fro the front? Low spoke count radial, want to make sure it's right other wise you're risking hub failure....

    no i dont

  • Nice wheels. Not sure if I'm brave enough to build my own but I'm curious, how long did they take to complete? Was it any cheaper to build yourself?

  • Would give them away to Cyclecorner and Mattias for proper tension.

took about 1h-1,5h, was cheaper to build myself yes

  • the front wheel is now checked and ready to go, all that is missing now is a stem

  • no toeoverlap , win! (i hope, haven't mounted a tyre yet)

  • Looks good, makes me wanna out mine together

  • random stem and handlebar

    bad ps'ing

a little bit of toe overlap

  • is the saddle hight dialed in already ?

  • is the saddle hight dialed in already ?

pretty much yes, i got short legs

  • The frame is too big for you...again.

  • The frame is too big for you...again.

no its not too big, its too big for you to like it

  • Toe overlap isn't a problem unless you're turning on the spot. At speed, if you're steering that much, overlap isn't what you'd be worried about. Looks good

  • i second thrust´s concern.

  • functionally it's not too big, but for the looks it might seem to big for the lfgss standards

  • functionally the forward sloping top tube is useless, second eliminated with a riser bar.

functionally you can ride it, just the pursuit charcter is just for the looks. still a neat looking bike and with those rims also a good ride. enjoy it

  • 60mm stem matches my 60mm seatpost, I like it compact

to do: Slam stem, shorten handlebars, mount grips, learn to skid.

So that's pretty much it, my first bike ever made from scratch, i have learnt a lot and it was fun!

  • You've really fucked it in the final stage.
