Loic I remember this being suggested before but I thought it didn't happen because it closed too early, like 8 or something. That's just from memory, I haven't UTFS. If they're open late I am up for trying it
The dude said they generally open till 9h30, but would be happy to stay open later if people were around...
I've been in the Newington Cycle PS a couple of times - was nice enough. How long has Camberwell been open?
I asked him the same question. They opened 7 weeks ago.
me and tibbs went to the one near e&c before xmas and while it's not bad in there, it's def not a compass drinks venue imo. haven't been to the one loic is suggesting though so it might be different.
Compass venue... Not sure about this... I'm personnally happy generally anywhere providing people turn-up but I can appreciate people like a real pub.
All I know:
-Camberwell is in SE London
-Sheriff seems to be a very nice guy, and I'm sure it's also the case for his colleagues. I think that's an important point... My last time in SE beers I had to argue with a passive agressive waitress at the Kings Arms about their new managment rules and they table occupancy system... Of course it was not her fault, she didn't decide the rules in question, and it was all fine in the end, and I would definitely go again to the KA for their great ribs... But I'm naive enough to believe that I will always feel welcome if the place is run by cyclists...
-They have sofas
-Inside space for bikes (unless there is 20 of us which never happens because SE is dead
-Beer.
-They sell Cinelli hat so Reen will be happy.
-They sell brake pads for you f*****g fixie skidders
