I'm going to pootle round at the back, so you have nothing to fear from my inexperience unless you lap me...
Since I'm in Cambridge the plan is to do the induction the day before, stay at a pal's in Honor Oak, not drink too much on Saturday night and then ride over on the Sunday.
Beyond learning the rules, it's just riding round in circles, right? ;)
