Alarm went off at 6.30 this morning, adding an interesting rhythmic accompaniment to the howling gale blowing outside.
I decided that I didn't want to ride my bike (well, I did, but I didn't want to do so in the gale blowing outside) so I went for a run instead.
Nowhere near Hatbeard's Marathon preparations, I ran a very slow 13.5 miles around my ends, including a lap of Herne Hill velodrome.
First 3k I had my on-again/off-again severe shin pain, however I know it goes by kilometre 4 so I just got on with it.
Anyone got an idea as to how to make that not happen at all?
