How refreshing. Someone who's interested in portraying things as they are! Someone should definitely do this.
I would offer Mondial but we don't have any women on board. Let me know if you're interested.

Would we have answer questions without repetition, deviation or hesitation?

Emmet did a funny! Really like the look of this, not to be in it but to see some good characters express their backstory and views. Mondial would be a pretty good option in the build up to their euros campaign and how the team formed etc.
Excited by this, let's hope it's a good one.

I think Winter Has Come should do it...

This is great. I guess it would be pre-recorded so you could get a few attempts at being articulate..
Did they give any indication of time scales?

^ Awesome!

I spoke to her about it yesterday too after getting a similar email last week. I like the idea of it, although a bit less now I know she won't just be following us mancs around. She seemed to like the idea of following a team or group of people as they get ready and go to a tournament.

Time scales are quite long. I mentioned the London open being at the end of august usually which she was fine with, I did also mention it'd probably be earlier this year but not confirmed yet.

I'm sure that if their budget allowed them to then they would love to head to montpellier for the worlds. And I think it would really highlight the scale of the sport if the documentary followed a team all the way to the worlds. Perhaps we could pitch to them that they follow a team who are definitely planning to go to the euros as well as a team who have diverse backgrounds and make-up..

She did mention UK tournaments to me, although I guess following a team trying to qualify and then and interview with them after could work.

In all seriousness I think Nik would be a great person to put forward for this - she's head of the LHBPA, a great polo player, she's articulate, and she's got a dead sexy voice.

Also she lives on a boat and Radio 4 is all about boat people #shippingforecast

+1
Would she be interested in hearing about the LHBPA? It would be great for Nik to share her perspective.

Going to chat with her on Monday so I can pass on details/contacts. Nik, you in?

I'll defer things to you Fin, I'm not sure she realises that everyone talks so much all over the country.
Got this through yesterday. Had a chat with her on the phone and it seems like an interesting project.
She's looking for 'articulate people' to talk about their lives in and out of polo. She was interested in diversity of people's backgrounds and what drives them to play. The arc for the feature she was suggesting was to follow a group/team in the lead up to and participation of a tournament.
I think this could be a great opportunity to present a thoughtful and insightful view of polo (esp. after recent events). If there are teams interested please let me know. Ideally I think it would be good to feature a team with at least one woman.
Thoughts?
