I had a very nice ride in. The two building sites that usually cause an inconvenience were fine because their deliveries had not arrived, and apart from newbie cyclists sitting in the right of the cycle box to turn left and causing a bit of a kerfuffle it was uneventful. On the way home it was fine too.
I don't know why all those Hackney Rd cyclists don't take Old Bethnal Green & Columbia Roads and avoid the whole lot.
