You don't need a security dongle but you do now need a smartphone app for authenticating new transaction arrangements.
Like all banks you should tell them if your card activity is going to be significantly different from your normal profile eg: when going abroad if you don't often go to that country.
Still the most enjoyable banking experience there is.
