I think that their bark is worse than their bite.
I had them on the bob-rat for about 6months of brklz suburban commuting and occasional weekend hill-bombing.
The first 2weeks were horrendous but once the outer coating/mould release crap wore off they held the road a bit better.
Even if you're particularly tight it's worth spending extra pennies on Rubino
