If something's gone missing in the post it's a pain in the ass as there's really nothing to do until it either re-appears or it doesn't and you have nothing new to say or do.
No idea-met him in person a couple of times and he's a really genuine guy so I can promise you he hasn't done a runner for the sake of a few pounds and he'll have a good reason for not getting back to you.
