  • I like that alot

  • this is the loveliest colnago paint job i've ever seen.

could you post up detail shots of the paint details and seatpost/stay areas? that would be much appreciated.

  • also, it seems my master olympic had somwhat of a similar variant of that scheme

  • not my size... and without star forks it's not a big deal imo :)

  • Finally the groupset is complete:

Sold the Ksyrium and got a set of Attacks:

Still thinking if to go for Ergonovas/Arx (black edition) or something more classy, I don't want to do any mistake at this point :)

Those whells are autentic pornostars! Reynolds?

  • Those whells are autentic pornostars! Reynolds?

    Yep, Reynolds Attack.

Just seen that my bike is been featured on pedalroom... How do they pick the bikes?

  • By awesomeness

  • Ok, after few weeks I can say the machine is almost perfect, the only bits i'm still not convinced with are the wheels.
So now I'm thinking to start to collect hubs/rims. Record hubs seems ok but not so different apparently from the reynolds... I was thinking of Chris King r45 to be sure and I can have them at the same colour of the headset (do you know if they do different shades of pink?)... Any feedback on them?

  • It's both King so the colour will be the same. They're really good hubs, one of the best around.

But why aren't you convinced with those wheels? they're good aren't they?

  • I have a spare 1 1/8 in top headset cap in pink but it's a different colour, even if the website says they make only one kind of pink...
The wheels are ok but they are used and I think the rear hub needs to be serviced... They are light and look great but they don't feel strong at all...

  • Seriously. Fucking nice.

What's the deal with the seatpost? Did you get it airbrushed? Never seen one like it.

Carbon I presume? Did you use carbon assembly paste or anything?

it's the original 28mm carbon seatpost that came with it... it was a limited run for the 100th paris roubaix... you need to think twice before lower it, because you simply peel off the paint :)

  • It's both King so the colour will be the same.

Anodising is an inexact process and the only way to ensures the colors are exactly the same is to anodise the components in pairs or sets and sell them like that, which King do not do. If you're gonna drop the big bucks on CK it'd be nice to know you're getting perfectly matching hubs ..

  • Great bike without a doubt an so nicely put together

I'm currently putting together a c50 and if you want to part with the Reynolds attacks id be interested

Btw what bar tape have you used?

I've got already a virtual dib... but for the moment I think I'll keep them even if I build something else just to have a spare pair...
The tape is Cinelli caleido ribbon or something like that :)

  • Yeah anodizing means you can get variations in colour - I've got a variety of Hope gold bits in various hues.

  • Really really nice. I've got the attacks on mine and love them. Hoping mine will be somewhere near as nice as yours once I've accumulated a campag group to go on.

  • I got caught riding under the rain a couple of times (i hope that's not the reason) and the bb started to make clicks and cracks. I took the bike to Condor and they told me that the c.u.l.t. bearings had contamination in them so they had to be replaced.
I opted for the cheaper u.s.b. ones because they didn't have the cult in stock (£120 vs. £69).
I'm wondering, the crankset (and of course the bearings) has been installed new, and after approx 500km (maybe 20 of them in wet conditions) the uber expensive bearings (claimed to be more resistant than the regular ones) die?

  • After I've had a bike fit I've changed few parts:

    • Zipp SL Service Course stem (from 90mm to 110mm)
    • Zipp Service Course SL 70 (short reach but quite shallow)
    • Selle Italia SLR Super Flow 140
    • New Vittoria Open Corsa CX

  • Hate Colnago's - fucking love this bike.

  • Definitely my favourite forum Colnago.

  • That is truly stunning.

  • And big thanks to Jean Pretorius to have finally put a end to the rear clicking. No one else could figure out what was causing it.
