Thank, the bold part is exactly my thinking, I used to use a medium/large format camera because of the perspective being closer to the human eyes (5x8 with a 90mm lens is a real treat), hence the Fujifilm X100 for it's larger sensor, and the Sony RX100.
But I realised in the long term that a simple editing can go a long way, the only disadvantage is that I can't find an image editing application that allow me to skewed the image to removed the distortion like I would in Photoshop, and yes, I use VSCO cam, save me quite a bit of work if a bit limiting (their shadow and highlight is pretty weak).
