Which decent casual SPD shoes? Dzr, Chrome, Quoc Pham, etc

I'll be using them brakeless but ambidextrous. I've only used proper road shoes before with SPD-SL cleats and stuff. Any ideas how they'd compare for stopping power? Similar? Thanks for the help by the way.

I haven't popped out once yet with the SPD M520s, pretty solid for skidding.
