  • Yeah, but I'm mainly an events photographer, and apart from levels and cropping, that's all I need to do. So I deal with speed and quantity Photoshop is king for anything else though, say one image really well. Cloning in Lightroom is pretty funny. Works for basic things, but only that.

  • Nothing matches Photoshop for pure editing power though.

...hey, wait a scond - what about GIMP ??

    ..just kidding..

Now I feel like a dick for suggesting Lightroom to a friend. She does events as well. How much more effective is Photomechanic in batch and large numbers?

  • Is lightroom now a part of Adobe CC membership plan?

  • Is lightroom now a part of Adobe CC membership plan?

Yup. Though It doesn't have the CC acronym after it.

  • That's good. Coz we get free (paid for) memberships from work under the work at home agreement, althought quite frankly, none of us get paid nearly enough to work at home....

  • ...you're "free to work at home", so to say?

  • ...here - have a paid-for lightroom!

  • exactly. But I ain't doing nothing for free.

  • Haha, cheers. Hope you don't mind if I clog the thread...

Love the top one, just wish there was a bit more on the right hand side to balance it out

  • Bullshit, ain't nobody got time for that.
Fuck dead space, seize the format I say!

  • ^ looks pretty tense. Really good photos - it looks desaturated but it's just winter in Kiev!
    This ones amazing:

I walk past this every day and have been meaning to snap it for a while....

  • Museums are always nice to photograph.

  • Yeh, but, a selfie?

  • ^ that's mean!!

  • No selfies alowed? crap! I was thinking that could finally be trendy!

    Yeh, but, a selfie?

  • Going to that tomorrow.

  • Went skiing, ditch my camera and relied entirely on a mobile phone with an image editing application, for once I'm quite pleased with the result;

Bit too much magenta on the last one, only excuse is that the mobile phone screen isn't the best choice for colour correction.

  • Bloody hell, those are good. Regardless of format.
All very consistent, clean compositions. The doge one and the cabin stand out but they're all great.
The processing is nice and subtle too. You using VSCO cam?
