Oh well, it would appear I bought one :-)
I had a test ride and it seemed like a very nice light responsive bike that works well, but looks nicely second-hand and subtle so the thieves should ignore it. Exactly what I was after.
The guy at On Yer Bike said that they serviced them after every hire and they have all had new cables.
