One of my favourite novels. I find it hard to admit that the film was so gut wrenchingly, ball achingly, arse clenchingly, cunt dryingly shire.

Frozen gets thumbs up, strong return to form from Disney. Couple of cracking song that'll be doing the rounds for a few years.

No End,
Bleak Polish film from 1985 of Solidarity and Martial Law. Completely engrossing and well acted. Recommended.
Admit, only understood some bits after reading reviews on imdb

I was disappoint.Formulaic and derivative, misogynistic, cliched etc... etc... all the standard Disney fare of -isms and -ists.
The songs - which could have been a saving grace - were but poor shadows of past Disney
plagiarismfilms. -

Finally saw American Hustle. A solid 8 out of 10, Bale & Adams were great.

Loved the second Hunger Games instalment, great stuff...
Also watched Last Vegas the other night, much hilarity...

Watched Byzantium.
Refreshing to see strong female characters and loved the way they became "vampires". Recommend.
Nothing I want to see ATM in cinema. I am turning into Grumpy Old Vinegar Pissing Film Critic.

Hard Candy. Big mistake watching that. I like Ellen Page, I thought. Basic moral of the story is that it's ok to torture people if they're paedophiles. I don't like torture porn at the best of times, and this self-righteous twist on the genre was no improvement.
I also watched Excision. Which is downright odd and a little bit kinky. Fun stuff.

watched "Filth" last night, exactly what I was expecting after reading the book, great movie, very entertaining.

Read the book too.
If they can make a film of American Psycho then they can make Filth
Will watch with some trepidation... -

12 Years a Slave... Not as great as I was expecting. Maybe over hyped? Beautifully filmed. And tainted by that fact they ripped the soundtrack off The Walking Dead computer game. I shit you not, it's exactly the same, all those low deep cello chords.

Yeah I have to agree on the Hard Candy bit...left a bad taste in my brain. (wait...)

I seem to be film stalking you.
A lot of the film with a Jaws-watching-like dread as the rumbling strings played, with a fair bit of don't-go-in-there-like flinching.
It captured the helplessness and injustice well, and it's probably my predilection for boom-crash-bang endings that left it a little flat in the last few minutes.
All films that are meant to be good are long, that's how you know they're meant to be good.
