650c size sucks, but got a nice wheelset as a present and need to fit it somehow in the 26" MTB, which means it needs wider tyres then 1"... any suggestion/ hidden production of old schwinns, a pair in the basemant or similiar?

EDIT: wheels are mavic CXP 14 laced on 105 hubs, seems like i got lucky googling - 54 on the front , and 47 on the back?
