I'm gonna regret writing this, as usually I lose interest in what I wanted to say half way through, but generally don't mind people documenting every random bit of their surroundings. Our memory fail and those little impressions of mood or detailed photos/sketches help jog the memory.
Now, there are roughly two kinds of people - those interested in themselves and those who enjoy the visual stimulae around them, people, objects. Former take endless stream of selfies, stare in the mirror while freelifting, choose self-contained resort holidays, get new stuff every time they redecorate their house. The latter take pictures of the particularly worn out paving slab etc. what I wanted to say? I forgot. There are also people, like the ones who take the endless stream of selfies, who take an endless stream of pictures of where they are- art gallery, landscape, or wherever, whilst giving no thought to it and taking in nothing meaningful about their surroundings. In that cartoon up there, the guy who has a rant has a very good point. He just might not be right about everyone.
Whatok, your picture of a statue is very funny :)

Wow, the animated paintings were shit. Irritating Ken Burns effect? Check. People swaying like badly animated trees in the wind, regardless of what they're actually doing in the painting? Check.
The original, static paintings convey movement far more effectively than the silly animations.

How's that different to Van Beijeren or Cotan?
You're referring to 12 yo school kids in Starbucks, but I talk about people who do it consciously. -

I'm referring to tourists in galleries that dont look at the pictures, they just fiddle with thier phones the whole time, or who never stop to experience the place they are in, for the same reason.

As opposed to lads with their cocks out in Faliraki who aren't sure what country they're in.

I'm drawn to agree with whatever it was EEI was trying to say. Somehow it captured the moment like an eel.

you're not experiencing experiences correctly. You're not being meaningful enough..
