How was the hackintosh experience? Been tempted to try it since Apple won't make a mid tower...

Much better the second time round (I first built one in 2008 or 2009, then again last October).
I can highly recommend using one of the Customac builds from tonymacx86 as that's essentially what I did, using unibeast.
It's a lot, lot easier than it used to be to get a system that works exactly like a real Mac, is just as stable but way more powerful and flexible for a fraction of the price.

Sorry only just saw this - a Gigabyte B75M-D3H. He actually recommends a B75M-D3P but the H is cheaper and easier to get over here and works fine. I actually use a DSDT free setup which is only possible with Gigabyte motherboards as I understand it. Used to have an Asus which needed a DSDT and more kexts.

~~High end 'mid tower' case with lots of space for disks and stuff and the latest quiet computing/efficient air flow features - so the PSU fits in the bottom and it has a fan pointing upwards in the top as well as a rear fan and there's various places in the front you can fit extra fans. Comprehensive Silent PC Review (the bible on quiet/cool computing) test here:

I've modded the case slightly to take out the pieces of mesh covering the top and rear fan and replaced them with standard fan guards for better air flow:
In great nick apart from two scratches on one side of the case it picked up when we moved house (see third picture). Comes with all the original bits/manuals (see internal shot). Was used as a Hackintosh case, hence the stickers, but they'll come off fine.
Great quality - the cheapest you can get these new at the moment is £99 delivered. [s]£40 £35~~ £30 - pick up from Lower Clapton only.[/s]
