San Diego is about old steel classic restaurations.. Berlin about low end old roadies--- what the Germans called "half racers". Amsterdam seems to be a lot about MTBs and omafiets (English Roadsters).. Munich is, I think, less about old steel touring bikes and L'Eroica classic bicycles than omafiets, caferacers, hybrids, city bikes and "on the right roads" carbon racing machines in the summer.. Loads of old steel roadies-- especially Merckx and DeRosa--- but mainly in people's basements.. Most of the classics one might see I think are not in the hands of trend hoppers but people that have been riding them for years....
