Munich was NEVER a hot spot for fixed gear. Unfortunately its also become a track black hole. Once the birthplace of German track its been killed off with a cheap bullet. The Olympic track stopped being a track after the Olympics and has long since been converted into an assortment of failed projects such as an Olympic Museum and Event arena (home to the Erotic trade show).. The last track in Munich--- also at the Olympic Park--- was the killed and the building knocked down a few years ago. Munich used to be the home to one of the best 6 days in Europe but it was killed in 2009 by Olympic Park mangement--- who are happier with Teutonic stock car races--- so-called DTM--- and one failed event after the next (the last being the X-games).
another track killer is the old nazi club movement in augsburg.
the good thing about not being a hot spot was the easy brakeless riding for years.
