When drilling/dremeling out fused bolts in your cleat on a pair of waterproof shoes... How do you replace the plate when it's all sealed in?

got some winter sidi's bit I can't see how to get the plate out, I'd rather not start cutting them up

Why do you need to? If you drill them out properly the plate should remain intact.
