out I think. a week of cold means I'm out of breath just going upstairs :/
You still have about 16 days to recover
Would like to do this but only have gears...
sign the "LFGSS I promise not to change gear" form
I'm out, tattoo appointment has been moved to the day before and I'd rather not risk it.
tattoo idea - a skidder struggling up Ditchling?

Allowing for not starting on time, a pace that won't be shelling anyone on the flat, a pub stop and the shenanigans implied by a list longer than 10 names I'd guess after 2pm
-
• #82
so probably more like after 3pm
-
• #83
we got there at like 8 once
also in if not broke or hungover, no brakes lol

Ok123 sounds perfect :)

But if brakeless peeps are going to come I'd ask that you ride with extra caution (ie space) around others and definitely to descend at the back of the group. If even half the list shows up it will be a large ride so people need to ride accordingly.
Shouldn't it be at the front of the group so when they fail to stop they don't take out others?
nods to Fiddy

or just fit a fucking brake. if an accident occurs and you don't have the ability to stop properly there is a good chance you will be legally liable
-
• #88
Yes, i find it always let the #brakesaredeath people go ahead on the hills. Only really needs to be done on the descend in to reigate on this route
-
• #89
Maybe, depending on on assembling a bike. So 25 or 40?

My foot slipped off the pedal other night (note: no more trainers on SPD-SLs) and I absolutely smashed my coccyx into the seat. I should be healed up for the ride but in the meantime please all pray for my ass.

As luck would have it, I already have a shrine set up for this very purpose.

"Amen to that brother..."
If Si offers to fit a carbon seat post, refuse unless there is plenty of lube.
-
• #98
He made the offer but with dry lube :(
-
• #99
Better that than carbon assembly paste ...

Hey, I'm very up for this but have a couple of Qs if anyone can answer:
What's traffic likely to be like? Know the night time rides to b are practically deserted, but is there risk of traffic conflict during a Saturday day?
Will there be much issue getting 30+ bikes on the train home?
I'm out, tattoo appointment has been moved to the day before and I'd rather not risk it.
