The last three paragraphs of the second article I posted nail it for lots of people, I think. The people I've spoken to internationally recently (who've pulled back) and people I've spoken to about polo in the pub who ask why I'm not playing much anymore.
There was even an attempt to restart Downham weekend days (who knows, may still happen), but it got complicated trying to decide who's not serious enough to invite, and how do you enforce fun back into polo?
Having said that, all of you who are still having fun, rock on.
